Now You Are Two

My little monkey, now you are two. As I sit here watching you play with your toys I can’t help but think about how much you have grown and of all the things you have learnt this past year.
You have learnt to walk. It took us a while to get there, infact whole 17 months but then all of a sudden you just took off. And now you never stop!
You have learnt to talk (in your own language at first, but your speech is coming along in leaps and bounds now). At the moment you are mimicking absolutely everything we say.
You have learnt to sing. You sing Wind the Bobbin Up and Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. You also love to sing along to Oh My Love by The Score.

You have learnt to dance. I love it when we dance around together in the living room, being silly and laughing together.

You have learnt to count. You can count to 10!

You have learnt to run. You love to run around the living room and hide from Mama & ┬áDada behind the door. Then you jump out and scare us! And say “There he is!” You are such a funny boy.

This past year has gone by in the blink of an eye and, although some days are challenging I am forever wishing that time would slow down. I want to soak up and enjoy every little thing you do and time we are lucky enough to spend together.

I love you my little monkey. Please don’t be in a hurry to grow up. Now you are two and learning new things every single day, but you will always be my little boy.
